Dover/Delaware
Tag 10 und der vorletzte komplette Tag meiner Reise.
Heute ging es nach Dover in Delaware. Delaware ist nach Rhode Island der kleinste Bundesstaat der USA und ist bei Firmen sehr beliebt, da diese sich hier steuergünstig ansiedeln können. Es soll wohl um die 650.000 Briefkastenfirmen in Delaware geben.
Für mich stand heute nur der Weg nach Dover und eventuell ein Besuch am Strand an. Unterwegs habe ich mir einen Salat, ja richtig gelesen einen Salat, bei Walmart geholt. Die haben da echt tolle Salate. Große Portionen mit allem drum und dran für $4 und sehr lecker.
Ein kleiner Walmart-Tipp von mir: wenn ihr nicht so viel kaufen wollt, geht ohne Wagen rein, dann kann man nur das nehmen, was man tragen kann ansonsten kauft man hier viel zu viel, da die eine super Auswahl haben. Ich liebe Walmart. 😁
Nach dem Einchecken im Hotel bin ich dann zum nächsten Strand gefahren. Der liegt in Bowser Beach. Ein kleines verschlafenes Küstendörfchen. Keine Menschenseele auf der Straße oder am Strand. Gut, das Wasser ist auch nicht gerade das sauberste. Trotzdem schön etwas Seeluft zu schnuppern und ein paar Bilder zu machen.

Morgen geht es dann zur letzten Station: Philadelphia. Hier gibt es u.a. das Philly Cheesesteak und noch einiges mehr. Dazu morgen mehr.
Day 10 and the second last complete day of my journey. Today I drove to Dover in Delaware. Delaware is following of Rhode Island the smallest state in the US. Delaware is popular with many companies because they can settle down here with a pretty good low-tax. In Delaware you shall can find over 650,000 phantom companies.
For me it was just the way to Dover and maybe a visit at the beach. On the way I bought me a salad, yes right a salad, at Walmart. They have pretty good ones. Huge servings with everything you need for $4 and it was delicious.
A small Walmart hint from me: when you don't want to buy so much, go in without a trolley so you just can buy what you can handle otherwise you'll buy too much because they have a great choice. I love Walmart. 😁
After checking in at the hotel I drove to the next beach. This is at Bowser Beach. A small backwater. No one on the street or at the beach. Okay the water isn't pretty clean. But it was good to scent the sea air and to take some pictures. A good day to relax. 😁
